Glimpse of Europe - Day 3

A brand new d@y again... after finished our yummy breakfast and took a photo infront of the Hotel Ibis Brussels Airport that v stayed for a night there... v going to head to Luxembourg which took abt 2.30 hr to reach there..

Luxembourg... a place that i not even heard it b4... actually... it is one of the smallest countries in Europe. In addition, it is landlocked country in western Europe which bordered by Belgium, France, and Germany.

The photo below show the Gelle Fra monument that commemorates the thousands of Luxembourgers that volunteered for service in the armed forces of the Allied Powers during the 1st World War. This is the Palace of the Grand Dukes...

After that, we headed to Heidelberg. It has been labelled a "Romantic town" and used to attract more than 3.5 million visitors per year.

Now only i realise that there is a place which can capture the castle, Pepper Pots, and Old Bridge together in a single view... haiz..:( wat a waste..:(

Always meet Ewen during my trip... and v sure take a photo together when v meet.. yea~ The upper pic show the Luxembourg's Pont Adolphe Bridge... Im happy to taste the local ice-cream, it cost 1 Euro per ice-cream and the other food that i tried... ==" i don't know wat it is...but the taste not bad la... like biscuit.. ermm.. not really la.. haha:) This is the place that v had our chinese dinner, which is Restaurant Asia...

在一个特别的日子里20.10.2010。。。

今天的日期很特别--20.10.2010。。。
我如往常没什么两样。。=="

这几天都在家里量地，除了量地以外就是‘用力’的爬上网到面子书逛已逛，看看朋友们最近的情况，有没有上载新的照片，不然就看看谁在MSN里是和我一样闲空的。。。==V

休息是为了走更加遥远的路，这可不是借口哦。。这是事实。。当了上班族之后每天就是准时上班准时下班的，或‘早九晚五’，生活可说是乏味无趣，哈哈。。我是否太早下次定论呢。。？或许精彩的生活就在此时慢慢的燃烧着也说不定。。

前阵子和中学朋友聚会时，朋友问道-我们毕业几久了，屈指一算有五年了，时间就是如此的残忍，来也匆匆，去也匆匆。这五年里，面对的人事物有很多，抉择也不少，想的事物，烦恼也逐渐增加了。。。朋友们多数是已经踏入社会工作了，而我呢？未晓得社会是否会我容身之处呢？？？？？

才写到第二天的GLIMPSE OF EUROPE，还有十多天的行程未完成..（敬请期待咯:))由于每当到了一个景点时，我们都不知那为何物，那为何树，所以现在就得花多点时间去了解它吧。。搞笑的是有一次有两座建筑物好像一样似的，我就得ZOOM大来做个比较。。 其实是应该还没出发前就开始找些资料以作参考，但是记得当时出发前一天都没空去找。。只是忙着收拾那又笨又重的行李罢了。。哈哈！！

Glimpse of Europe - Day 2

The 2nd day of our Europe Trip is another excited day for all of us!!!!! The journey is just begin!!!!!! This day, v start up our GREAT day with a delicious breakfast.... yes!!! i like it very much.... our continental breakfast includes different sort of bread, butter, jam, scrambled egg, boiled egg, ham, cheese, variety of drinks:coffee, tea, orange juice, and etc.

The 1st place v visited was the 19 Windsmill at Kinderdijk, which located at the South Holland. In fact, it is the largest collection of the historical mills in the Netherland. In addition, the 19 windmills of Kinderdijik are listed on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage list. There are amongst the most popular tourist destinations in the Netherlands.

When I reached there, the wind was really strong and cold... but the scene is really nice.. as u can 'sekali' see 19 windsmill line up there. :)

V proceed to Antwerp, the fashion capital of Belgium. Besides, it is known as the diamond capital of the world as well. Based on my research, Antwerp is enrich with its numerous architectural highlights. The Second World War has scarred the fair face of the old town. However, the monuments left is sufficient for ppl to spend few days admiring them..:) The picture below was took at Town Hall of the Antwerp. It is one of the oldest Renaissance buildings in the Low Countries.The pic below was took at The Steen, Antwerp. 'Steen' is the Dutch word for 'stone' as it is one of the earliest buidings in Antwerp constructed by stones (that time most of the houses built with wood)

Brussels will be our next destination. It is the capital of Belgium and the administrative centre of the European Union. We had view the city hall on the Old Market Square and guild house.

As v know, Brussels is famous with its statue of Mannekin Pis and he is often dressed. He has a wardrobe of more than 600 costumes which all preserved in the King's House, or City Museum at the Grand-place, the central market square of the city. But too bad that the Mannekin Pis that i saw was not dressed... Nobody actually knows why the mannekin is there.. many stories abt him... just dunno which one is the true...=?=

Im eating waffle with Manneken Pis.. yea.. that waffle that i bought cost 5 euro... so so expensive and it is so so delicious... yummy!!==VHe is pee pee...better dun disturd him...:)

Not to forget to purchase some chocolates at Brussel as u sure can find the type of choc that u like..!!!

Glimpse of Europe - Day 1

The 1st place that I visited is Holland or known as Netherland. It is the most densely populated countries in the world as there are more than 16 million ppl in this country. I had visited one of the city in Holland, which is Amsterdam. There are a few activities 'waiting' for us on that day..



One of the activity is pay a visit to traditional wooden clog and cheese farm. V are glad to hav a tall guys and a multi-language man to explain for us the making of traditional clog and cheese. oh ya, there is a free testing on the cheese.. At this moment, i still miss the taste of the cheese that i tried.. Besides, i had visited the Gassan Diamond Factory as well. FYI, Amsterdam has been known as the City of Diamonds. During the factory tour, v get to know the grinding technique of the diamonds, the type of the diamond, knowledge on the cutter and polisher of the diamond, the Gassan 121- its diamond cut constitute of 121 facets, which result in optimal reflective properties.

After that, v had been arranged to tk a cruise on the glass domed canal cruise seeing Amterdam. It cost abt 8 euro each person. At the night, we walked through the Red Light District and i think most of the guys open their eye as BIG as possible.. haha:) There are over 200 windows with girl in sexy lingerie to lure you inside.. Amterdam is notorious with its Red Light District. Prostitution is a legal profession in this country. It is a oldest profession in the world and instead of criminalizing it, the Netherlands accepted it as a legal profession. Do u know that the prostitutes had to pay tax as well???

After that, v proccced to a chinese restaurant and v had 6 dishes and one soup for our dinner. Besides, the hotel that v stayed for that night is the BEST hotel v ever had for the rest of 12 night in our trip, it is called Tulip Inn Leiderdorp.

I rmb that the same date before this mth-09092010, when i wake up... i realized that i had been tagged in one of the video in facebook.. it named 'PATTERN 多多家族的回忆'... then i click play on the video... it is all abt our memory in Sheffield... it included the video that v make in the late night in Stoddart building, the night that v celebrate CNY, birthday celebration, HARI RAYA for the nxt yr... it show the place that v went before, the day trip that v join, lovely description and appreciation abt our friendship, when the video start to show my photo (which is quite big), my tear start to drop, i feel touched abt it... it is bcoz im a part of the 'family' and the video proof that for me....
v did a lot of crazy video... and v did go through a lot of happiness and 'challenge' together... i rmb the time when v live together in our flat 11, the time when v miss our train, the time v all run to the station, the time when v laugh together, the time v cook together, the time v share our happiness, the time v appreciate each other, the time v study together, the time v go to uni together, the time.......... too much memory for us... it just a good and nice memory for us...

Finally...

Finally im back to malaysia... feel great... actually is mixed feeling... When im in Sheffield, especially when im sad and stress... really hope that when i wake up and open my eyes, im in my own bed... but yesterday when im inside the plane.. my feeling is NEUTRAL... not really wanna back so fast.... i mean do not hav the feeling wanna rush back to my hse... and i do not wish to stay and play at uk for few days as well because i hav a great and memorable europe trip at the past 14 days....

the overall trip i will rate it 3 stars if there are 5 stars in total... the missing star are due to some of the hotel that i stayed was not as good as i expected.... like do not hav wifi, no lift provided, breakfast is quite lousy.... the other thing is my tour manager do not explain much on the place i visited... he did not told us what kind of souvenir to purchase at the specify place as like wat other tour manager did for their coaches.

Most of the time v spend are inside the bus as it tk few hrs to go to the other europe countries... my tour manager told us that the air u breath actually is payable...means ntg is FOC... like each time u use the toilet during the toilet break it cost 0.50 euro=RM2.. and do not expect the plastic bag from the supermarket is FOC..

I had visited Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Venice, Rome, Milan, Switzerland, Paris, and so on. The place that i like the most will be Switzerland. It is very fun to hav snow war with my fren. I like it very much.. (feel like in the scenery of Winter Sonata...:)) i had visited a lot of churches and hav a close look on the famous architecture or building, such as Pisa Tower, Eiffel Tower, Colosseum in Rome, Italy...

i know the meaning of hard~

It is not easy as i tot
Although i expect it to b not easy
maybe there is a reason behind
so tat i will put another 100% of effort
so that i am able to c my reflection
from top to bottom
another chance is coming
it will depend on my effort
it's time to put sth aside
put it in a simple place
a peaceful place
with nobody around
not much time to spend for
a shadow..............

Just left another 12days b4 the 1st paper commerce...
Just another 15 days b4 start my journey to Europe...
Just wanna relax a moment b4 the battle is going to begin...
